Growing up, the notion of being an outlier is typically frightening. It’s synonymous with words like ostracize, blacklist, snub, and rejection. But for entrepreneurs who truly wish to innovate, embracing those unique character defining traits not only makes us more confident, but also more successful. This is common sense when discussing products and services; the USP is a key component of every savvy business plan. But it’s equally important for personal development. Within the vast number of people in our global industries trying to innovate and creating amazing things, sometimes we forget to foster our own personal traits – or, unfortunately, we choose not to. But in doing so, we also fail to show clients and customers that behind the amazing things we make are amazing human beings.
