Karthik Gopalakrishnan, PhD, is responsible for managing Duke's portfolio in the areas of immunology, neurobiology (Parkinson's, MS ALS, lupus) and imaging chemistry. Karthik joined Duke in early 2004 as manager of Research Resources and was the University's main contact for Materials Transfer Agreements before moving to the Office of Licensing & Ventures (OLV). Prior to joining Duke, he was a postdoctoral visiting fellow studying human genetic diseases at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Karthik earned his PhD in Molecular Biology from TIFR, India
