Marty is an investment professional with over 15 years of principal investing experience in the US and Europe. He has been deeply involved in the formation and operation of several private equity and venture capital funds. 

As vice president of SCRA Tech Ventures strategic investments, he manages the investment review, due diligence, legal and budgetary processes for SCRA strategic investments and SC Launch, which provides seed capital and support services to early stage, start-up technology companies. 

Marty also leads SCRA’s Stage 2 affiliate, which sponsors larger investments in more established technology companies to support commercialization and growth. 

Prior to joining SCRA, Marty was a Partner and Investment Committee member of Chart Capital Partners, a group of middle-market buyout and growth equity funds and helped structure and organize Chart Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund with a unique affiliation with the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center based at the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, NJ. Prior to Chart, Marty was a Research Associate in the Automotive Group of Salomon Brothers covering the U.S. automotive manufacturers and original equipment parts suppliers and a Credit Analyst with ABN AMRO Bank N.V. serving Fortune 1000 companies in New England. Marty earned his B.S., with honors from Babson College.
